Job posting policy
nannynet’s referral board is a peer feature, not a marketplace. These rules keep it useful and lawful.
Who can post
- Verified members in good standing.
- Posts are limited to roles a member is leaving (a referral) or has firsthand knowledge of (heard-about).
- Family-direct postings are not allowed at MVP. We may pilot a paid, gated family channel later.
Required fields
- Role type and schedule.
- Location at neighborhood level (no precise addresses).
- Hourly or annual rate range, single-number or hidden rates are not allowed.
- Clear requirements (experience, certifications, languages).
Prohibited
- Rates below the applicable state, county, or city minimum wage.
- Discrimination on race, color, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, marital status, or any other protected characteristic.
- Requests for unpaid trial days, unpaid travel, or off-the-books arrangements that violate tax or labor law.
- Placement fees collected through nannynet.
- Identifying details about families or children.
Disclaimers
nannynet is not an employment agency, placement service, or staffing firm. We do not vet families or employers. You are responsible for your own diligence, contracts, pay, and taxes. See the Placement Disclaimer.
Enforcement
Posts violating these rules are removed. Repeat violations may result in losing job-board privileges or removal from the community.
